Immediately Available for Growing Install Base Now in Excess of 2,200 Systems

Newport Beach, CA (November 9, 2015) – Candelis, Inc., one of the fastest growing Healthcare IT companies, announces its new portfolio of VNA (Vendor-Neutral Archive) products. The VNA upgrade is available to the Candelis install base of more than 2,200 hospitals and imaging centers worldwide.

Candelis has redefined the VNA, configuring a solution that can provide a high-performance real time system, a scalable deep archive – or both, enabling local storage options or exploitation of existing storage pools within an existing enterprise system. Now any facility – be it a small imaging center, a community hospital or a large hospital - can consolidate patient imaging and other departmental content into one repository.

“We never worry about the management of our images because of the strength of our Candelis MercuryTM VNA. We also love the way the system seamlessly integrates our RIS, our Hologic Mammography stations and simplifies the radiologist’s workflows. It is an incredibly flexible system that helps us run our practice efficiently and increases our day-to-day productivity,” said Albert Fields, IT Department Head at Mt. Baker Imaging, in Mount Baker, Washington.

The three flexible Candelis VNA solutions include:
MercuryTM VNA Lite: Save aged studies into a safe repository
MercuryTM VNA Gateway: Carve out a section from your enterprise NAS storage pool to extend your PACS storage or create a VNA solution MercuryTM VNA Enterprise: Consolidate multiple sites and dozens of separately siloed image sources into one main repository

The Candelis MercuryTM VNA accepts studies from virtually any other- vendor system; for instance, the company was one of the first vendors to support BTO and CTO Tomosynthesis formats.

“With our significant install base, we immediately become the VNA market volume leader. The issue of dealing with aged studies, growing image sizes and data consolidation within a healthcare facility are some of the reasons our customers have urged us to offer VNA functionality,” said Tricia Buenvenida, Director of Marketing. “We wanted to provide VNA capabilities at prices aligned with the budgets of different-sized facilities; hence, our three product options.”

Additional features of the Mercury VNA include powerful and flexible routing capabilities; it is often used as the glue between incompatible systems. Mercury also has extensive facilities for QC, anonymization, tag morphing and built-in connectivity to Candelis' ASTRATM - our state-of-the- art cloud services which provide capabilities like secure object exchange, robust backup and DR and rich services to referring physicians.
